I wanted to thank you for the mindfulness techniques that you have shared with me over the last few months.  They have really been a big help in my very hectic life.  
 
Today, for instance, I woke at 5 am to get ready for work, make sure lunches for kids and all else were out and ready to go.  I had a "charged" conversation with my husband about a major home renovation that we are contemplating (aren't all conversations on such a topic "highly charged"? - that's emotionally and financially speaking, of course!).  I left the house for work at 6:30 am, and spent the commute mentally focusing on my hands, considering the truth of matters, realizing life just is, and breathing 4-7-8, instead of ranting and raving in my mind.
 
I arrived at work fairly calm, all things considered.  I booted up my computer, and had an e-mail from my boss telling me he wanted to speak to me.  NEVER a good sign - ABSOULTELY NEVER!!!  I made my way to his office sure that I had been caught having done some terrible thing which I had no idea of,  but gratefully that was not it.  And for that I was immensely relieved.  I was informed of various management decisions that will be negatively impacting me in particular, but for some reason, that I must attribute to mindfulness and the techniques you taught me, I'm not freaked out.  I'm okay.  And then as if the cosmic forces decided to shine down upon me, my entire court docket of 45 cases for today, which was to begin at 8:00 am, was cancelled to my delight.  By 8:30 am I had unloaded all the files on our file clerk to be re-shelved, and I've had the opportunity to accomplish tasks that I wouldn't otherwise have been able to.  And in a fairly good mood too.
