Programs
The Institute for Mindfulness Studies offers three different programs and two different courses of study, including individualized, one-on-one training, group presentations, and workshops.

The information presented is specifically tailored for practitioners of the law.  The exercises and techniques that comprise much of this information were developed in recognition of busy schedules, the need to apply intense intellectual focus to problem solving, and the interpersonal dynamic between attorney and client, colleague, partner, and adversary.

Individualized instruction is an effective method of learning and incorporating mindfulness practices into one’s life.  This tailored and focused consulting service is designed to meet a variety of different needs.  One-on-one meetings are held at your office or at the Institute and are schedule for 75 minutes.  You may sign up for sessions one at a time, or for the 4, 6, or 8 week Jurisight program (75 minute sessions). Individual consultation and ongoing instruction makes use of telephone calls, e-mail correspondence, and instant message exchanges in between meetings to sustain and invigorate your application of the instruction and its benefits.  To learn more about individualized consulting services, click here.

Small group (between 2 and 15 participants) presentations offer a cost effective method of introducing your practice group to mindfulness practices.  Sessions run 75 minutes in length and can be conducted in your office or at the Institute.  Your group can sign up for a one time presentation or for the 4, 6, or 8 week Jurisight program (75 minute sessions). Cost is a base fee plus a fixed amount for each participant.  Participants will gain an understanding of what mindfulness practice is, receive written and digital materials they can take with them to refresh themselves on what they learned, and be able to incorporate basic techniques into their daily lives, both in and out of the office.  The presentation can be general or specially tailored to your specific work environment. Large group (more than 20 participants) presentations are also a cost effective way to introduce your practice group to mindfulness practices.   Presentations run two  or four hours in length and are conducted at either your office or by arrangement at a local facility.  To learn more about large group presentations, click here.

Full-day and Weekend workshops are an effective way of introducing and offering an enriching environment for beginning or intermediate learning of mindfulness practices.  While these workshops can take place in your office, it is often preferable to have the longer ones conducted at an outside facility offering a relaxing and reflective environment.  Six hour, full day, and weekend (one and two day) workshops are available.  To learn more about workshops, click here.

The IMS offers instruction and consultation in mindfulness- based practices. Our services, designed to enhance performance and well-being, are tailored for schools, firms, small and large groups, and individuals.
